1. San Francisco - Alex Smith QB, Utah San Francisco is virtually stuck with the first overall pick due to no interest from other teams. They have said that they have narrowed it down to Rolle, Edwards, Smith, or Rodgers. Rolle has virtually no chance at going #1 and it's hard to take a WR #1. I believe that Smith will be the choice and not Rodgers because as much is made of Tedford's ability to develop QB's, this is the list of QB's Tedford has tutored: Akili Smith, Trent Dilfer, David Carr, Joey Harrington, Kyle Boller. Not exactly a veritable who's who of gunslingers.

2. Miami - Ronnie Brown RB, Auburn Ronnie Brown is the cream of the RB class and unless Miami turns in about face and trades for edge, this is who they're going for.

3. Cleveland - Aaron Rodgers QB, Califronia Cleveland needs a QB.....badly. Luke McCown nor Trent Dilfer are the answer. They have a decent pair of backs in Suggs and Green, and their CB's (Henry and McCutcheon) are at least decent. They draft whichever QB that SF passes on.

4. Chicago - Braylon Edwards WR, Michigan Chicago seemed sure to draft Edwards before they signed Muhammad out of free agency. Now they could go a number of ways CB, OT, maybe even a RB. However, Edwards is a midwest guy and they still need another weapon for Grossman to prove himself.

5. Tampa Bay - Carnell Williams RB, Auburn This looks to be the easiest pick on the board. Gruden loves Cadillac and the Bucs need a RB. Seems to be a perfect fit.

(Will do 6-10 later on, appreciate all input and discussion on opinions)

The Browns have not dumped Green yet. They have told his agent he can look for a trade, but nothing to date has happened. As a Browns fan, I hope they dont draft a QB. I would love to see them either trade down to get multiple picks, or if they have to use the pick, take DJ Johnson from Texas. Then use the 2nd rounder to get a QB like Frye from Akron or Cambell from Auburn.

Also, the Browns have dumped Anthony Henry at CB and replaced him with Gary Baxter from the Ravens.

This draft will have very few trades simply because it is a weak draft and no one really wants to trade up. None of the top 3 teams are going to be able to trade out of their spot because no one wants to move up. Also, the position this draft is strong in, RB, only a few teams want to draft in the 1st round. I say look for a few trades in the late 1st round, but none at the top.

I hear the Titans are taking a strong look at Mike Williams at #6. If that is the case, then I could see the Vikings being tempted to make a trade with the Browns to move up and have their pick of Edwards or Williams rather than missing out on both. They have made it clear they want a big time WR from this draft to replace Moss, and if they think both Edwards and Williams will be gone at #7, the Browns might be able to get a deal done. And that #7 the Vikings currently hold would be perfect to get DJ Johnson and have an added pick to help fill other holes. I may be dreaming, but who knows.

6. Tennessee - Adam Jones CB, West Virginia The Titans really need a CB and they really need an OT, so it's either going to be Jones or Alex Barron. In the end, Fisher is more of a defensive minded coach so he will choose Jones. The Titans still have Drew Bennett at WR and are not ready to give up on Tyrone Calico yet. (Cubs, I have heard that the Titans might take a WR and are in negotitations with Andre Dyson to come back. Yet they have 2 good receivers already, it's an OT they really need.) If the Titans sign Dyson, look for Barron to go here.

7. Minnesota- Mike Williams WR, USC(?) Ok, so I don't know whether to list a college or not, but the Vikes really need a receiver. After not getting Muhammad or Burress in free agency, the team does not want their receiving trio to be Campbell, Burleson, and Robinson *bleh*. Although they have more important needs on defense, they will go WR here.

8. Arizona - Cedric Benson RB, Texas Arizona just wants one of the top three backs to fall to them, doesn't matter which one. Cedric Benson is not the type of back that Dennis Green usually prefers but he won't complain to have him. Benson would be a gift to fall this far, I could see someone trading up to get him (since everyone wants to trade down). However, with the plethora of solid RB's in this class, teams will just wait for guys like Fason or Morency to fall.

9. Washington - Antrell Rolle CB, Miami The first legitimate mystery pick. It's really up in the air at this point. They could take a WR, Merriman, or Rolle or Jones if they happen to fall. Yet with the loss of Smoot this is the team's top need right now. A potential factor could be Arrington's verbal lashing of the team yesterday, Gibbs is a no-nonsense type of coach and I wouldn't be surprised if rumors had Arrington on the trade block soon. After all, the Redskins D finished #2 in the league w/o him for much of last year. Merriman or Derrick Johnson would be the pick if Arrington left.

10. Detroit - Alex Barron OT, Florida St. I see all this talk about the Lions taking Heath Miller and can't believe it. Detroit has FAR more pressing needs than using a #10 on a TE. Now Barron could step in and immediately contribute at tackle. FSU has a tremendous pedigree of OT's and he is just the next in line. Other options could be Merriman, Johnson, or Erasmus James (although I HIGHLY doubt the latter)

Note: Sorry about the Browns screw-up, I'm not really a Browns fan if you can't tell. I'm actually a HUGE Steelers fan, the name was created in jest.
